Exhibition: Are we alone in the Universe?

With the discovery of small temperate planets around other stars, several questions arise:

  • Is the Universe full of life?
  • How can we detect life in the universe?
  • What is the nature of life?
  • How did life emerge and how did it diversify on Earth?

To answer these questions, we need to bring together astronomers, chemists, physicists, biologists, geologists and climate experts.

This is the LUC, which is bringing this exhibition to you. We will take you on an interstellar journey, from the largest structures in the universe to the bacteria that live in Lake Geneva!

This exhibition is the result of a collaboration between scientists from different disciplines within the University of Geneva, but also with scientists from the Natural History Museum in Geneva and from the World Meteorological Organization.
