The Red Wood Ant Trail is close to the Jura vaudois Park Visitor Centre, at the col du Marchairuz. It is aimed at families.

This themed trail for children includes ten fun, interactive stations introducing this little insect. Did you know that the Jura vaudois regional nature Park is home to the largest known woodland ant colony in Europe, close to the col du Marchairuz?
Formica paralugubris has built a city of 1,200 anthills, linked together by 100 kilometres of trails, and with a total population of 250 million ants!

Don't forget to visit the Park Visitors Centre at the Col du Marchairuz!
