Be active against invasive neophytes
Get your hands dirty...now that's music
Make an active contribution to the valuable natural and cultural landscape in Valais! Get actively involved in preserving and enhancing natural habitats in the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park!
Get to know the invasive neophytes that occur in the region, the associated problems and how combat them sustainably!
In principle, “neo” - new “phyte” - plants are usually not problematic. But they are plants that are “new” to an existing, well-established ecosystem. If these alien plants are not regulated by predators or parasites in the new location, they spread rapidly at the expense of native species, are difficult to control and cause increasing health, economic and ecological damage. The highly specialized species of fauna and flora, which have already become rare, are usually the victims.
On June 7, 2024, we want your help to perform professional and ecologically sustainable invasive neophyte control. In addition to theoretical background knowledge (recognizing the most important species), this also includes actively working in nature (control methods)!
